NicVerAZ
I bought a box of Frontier 147RN CMJs from my friend Gary Blunt and I am looking for a recipe with a PF of around 130-135, obviously barely power factor. On my shelf I have Unique (I read that this does well with 147), Tite Group (my trusty but nasty 9mm power) and Power Pistol (barely used it). I live close to a Sportmans Warehouse but they are always out of N320, if I see some I will pick 1lb just to test it out. I shoot Production, by the way. My GP6 likes OAL in the 1.150 / 1.165 for RNs. Thanks in advance!
nanopistol
An old fart I know gave me 8 lbs of Unique a few years ago. I was using Titegroup in the 9mm 147gr, same as my .40. When I ran out of TG I started in on the Unique, got to 4.0 gr with 1.158". I haven't looked back. I still use TG for .40, but in 9mm the Unique is light, the powered almost perfectly fills the case, brass stacks up in one neat little pile, and nary a ftf. dskinsler83
3.6gr WST or 3.9gr WSF work well for me at 1.135-1.145"
dskinsler83
WST and S1K are good choices for N320 substitute

dskinsler83
Get you a chrono and try WST, Clays, or WSF. That longer 9mm OAL will have you putting in a tad more than my loads but not much. Get a PF of 135-140 and you'll like it Also wanna add that I use Xtreme plated bullets and Precision black bullets in 9mm. Jacketed bullets will take a tad more powder as well Edited August 26, 2012 by dskinsler83

My load is:- 147gr Frontier CMJ 3.9gr/Unique OAL = 1.115" Velocity = 931fps PF = 137000 Before you say that the PF is too high, I suggest that you try it first and then if you want to reduce it, do so. The recoil is a straight back push. I use this load for IDPA/USPSA.
AHI
I use 2.6 of bullseye behind 147 and 160 lead.

I have scaled back the powder weight to 3.8 after testing 3.9 and 3.7. Edit: I have to admit that I am very satisfied with this recipe: 147gr Frontier CMJ 3.8gr Unique OAL = 1.115" Range brass WSP primers Thanks a bunch!
