digby7
i have a sti steel master that i'm shooting factor 9mm 115gr out of. have a 6# spring in it and the gun is flat but i'm wondering if its sprung too low based on the slides general speed - any thoughts or does 6# sound about right for this kind of setup? Slide is pretty light I think with fp/fps and extractor its possibly just under 9 ounces.
lumpygravy
i have a sti steel master that i'm shooting factor 9mm 115gr out of. Inserts "minor power" in "i'm shooting minor power factor 9mm 115gr..." for Digs. He was probably up 'til the wee hours obsessing about this. oak hill
Try a 7 lb. it will give the gun a little different feel. Only way you will know if it is better if you try!
Jonathan Taliani
Am I missing something with the video? It doesn't appear to be a Steel Master. My full size 9mm Bedell Open gun runs an 8lb spring with Major loads and a 5lb spring with Minor loads. I don't think 6lbs sounds like it is unreasonable. I just checked too and it looks like Digs linked to his channel (which seems to be all limited/ss) but didn't put up any video of his new steelmaster. Like I said, he was probably up late on th initial post.

Jonathan Taliani
It's tough to tell slide cycling in a video, but it looked fine to me. Your brass ejection seemed to be consistent and not very violent at all. Open slides cycle like a sewing machine.
Flexmoney
If you want your gun to shoot flat, learn how to grip it. Set your springs to allow your gun to run with [maximum] reliability.
