Microsight & BJones Sight in 3Gun?

I am trying to figure out how to keep shooting my irons (and so far RX glasses just are not cutting it. The Camp Perry crowd have evidently been using the BJones Sight for awhile and the newer Microsight has come onto the scene this year.

Anyone with first hand experience with these? Or opinions on their efficacy in 3Gun?

What they are.... a RX corrective lens (of your choosing) in a short hood in the rear aperture resembling a National Match Sight. The difference between the two "as far as I can tell" is the BJones is a "normal" corrective lens just like your glasses and the Microsight is a Fresnel-Type Lens that actually allows you to see in-focus at ALL distances. I ordered a bob jones setup when I switched to irons this year. He makes a great product. It is extremely precise in tracking wind age. The problem with the hood is that you can't open up the secondary aperture since the hood sticks back and covers some of it up. If you order one of his national match hoods then you can't use the flip at all, it blocks the entire second aperture.

I think that most commonly, people can get a clear view of the sight with their prescription but need the hood lenses to get a sharper front sight but it can go the other way also. He suggested that it is beneficial to use the hood if either the target OR the front sight were blurry but not if BOTH are out of focus. In that case he said that I needed to go back to the eye doctor.

For those with the Bob Jones can you shoot it fast?

Does it mess your eye dominance with both eyes open or can you keep both eyes open?

I am really hoping the Microsight that keeps both front sight and target in focus will work, but am worried it is only good for bench/prone style shooting and will not work for dynamic fast shooting. Any thoughts?

It seems like a Microsight with an adjustable iris would be the answer.....
