jester121
While shooting my 4th match with my Ghost holster a couple weeks ago, I noticed something was amiss when I reholstered my S&W 625 at the end of the stage. I went to the safe area and discovered that 2 of the 4 screws attaching the holster to my belt had fallen out and gone missing, fortunately I discovered the problem before something bad happened. I was able to perform emergency field surgery and secure the holster back to the belt with 2 screws in opposite corners, but the 2 missing screws and square nuts are missing. (I know, Lock Tite for next time, no doubt). Has anyone had success sourcing these parts from a local hardware store, meaning are they a pretty standard off the shelf part? I'm still hunting around for the receipt when I bought the holster but my e-mail to Ghost International bounced back ( ). Thanks
furyalecto
I brought my holster into Menards & IIRC they had most if not all the screws between them & Ace. It's been a while. If you can't find anything else, I believe that CZCustom is the US distributor.
jester121
Thanks, neighbor! I'll head over to the local hardware store and do some nosing around (I think it's a True Value; Sears Hardware near me also has a good selection of metal giblets.) If I have success I'll post back exact dimensions for posterity. It'll be nice to have a dozen of each in the shooting bag for emergencies too... jester121
Screws were not a problem - both Sears & True Value had 'em. My holster came with M4 .70 x 16 screws (2.5mm hex driver); with a CR Speed belt I think an M4 .70 x 14 would be a better fit (and not poke me with extra metal sticking past the nut. So far I've had no luck with finding the square nuts. I'll check in with CZ Custom and see if they can help.
gunracer38
I had the same problem. I e-mailed the company at Italy. They sent all the screws to me in about three days. Unbelievable.
jester121
My e-mail to Ghost bounced back from the address I found on their website, maybe I found an outdated link? Anyhow, I found my receipt -- thank God I bought from a top notch vendor, Shooters Connection (featured vendor here). I e-mailed Chuck last night, had a response this morning, he added the item on their website and I ordered the replacement plus a few spares. Got instant shipping notification... THAT is how you run a business. Guess where I'll be going to order all my gear needs in the future? No more shopping around to save a buck or two, not for me. For posterity and future searchers, here is the link to the part in question: http://www.shootersconnectionstore.com/Product.aspx?ProductId=2597&CategoryId=794 Thanks again to Chuck for helping out a wheelgunner in need! jester121
As expected, the parts arrived today, right on time and just as I ordered. I'd already planned to shoot production in Sunday's match but I would have been all set with the revo holster if I wanted to. (EDIT: stupid spelling...)
