Grumpy's Toy
In setting up my new 650, i've noticed that the case is sticking on the powder die, which is causing the machine to jerk when cycled. I polished the powder die, but it still hangs up. Anyone else have this problem? Is the bottom dia. of the powder die just a guide so the flaring part can work? GR8GIFT
I have seen on some posts that a few people put a little imperial sizing waz on the expander/powder drop to eliminate that problem. I noticed that same problem on my 650 with new brass. Once fired brass or new brass that has been tumbled in Lyman treated corncob media doesn't seem to ever have that problem for me. So I have been running all my brass new or used through the case cleaner.

Sarge
It's a common problem among the dillon funnels. It is an expander as well as a funnel so it supposed to be a little tight. Polishing did very little for me. I actually put my funnel in a drill and used a fine file and fine sandpaper until I got 75% of the grabbing to go away. I use a u-die so the grabbing was pretty tight on all brass not just new stuff. If you take too much of the expander off you will start getting bullets seated off center in the brass.
