ss+P
ok so i am having a new 2011 built in 9mm and i am trying to pick out the ignition parts. i am going with the koenig low mass hammer and i am thinking the egw sear and disconnector with a standard leaf spring with a 17lbs mainspring. should i look at another manufacturer or just go with egw. Second question: the above gun is for 3 gun, i run a custom built 2011 in 40 for USPSA limited. i don't have the egw parts in that gun. how much will the koenig hammer and egw parts improve my current gun. should i go with a 17lb mainspring in that as well. i am currently running at

rooster mcbee
Those are the same parts I use. I'm happy with the results I get from them, but a gunsmith might tell you otherwise.
g mac
The ignition parts you've selected are excellent choice. Some and uses a 15lb main spring.
Carmine
All (3) of my current STI guns have SVI Tri Glide Packages along with SVI Extended Firing pins and their great Hammers. The reason I went this route is that I wanted everything to work together. Plus I can source all my goodies in one spot. diehli
My next build will have a Colt sear spring, STI or EGW sear, Extreme Engineering Race disconnector, EGW HD hammer, STI Ti hammer strut, ISMI 17lb mainspring, and Dawson extended firing pin. DKSComp
My vote for the tri-glide parts, 1 1/2 # trigger pulls easy and safe with those parts. Dave Schattel
HI5-O
Can't go wrong with all of the brands listed. Like Merlin said, ask the one who will be doing the work for you on what to get. I like the looks of the EGW HD hammer, it'll be on my next gun.
ss+P
thanks for the responses. i have looked at the tri-glide parts. my only concern and this is from not knowing how they are made or never seeing one. Can the ball bearing thingy they use break off and role around in your gun. like i said that is from never seeing one and just thinking about it. Does it really work any better than any of the other parts that are out there. i will say i am a bit skeptical
818-DVC
It's amazing what a competent smith can do with factory parts. I think a lot of smiths prefer this http://www.shootersconnectionstore.com/KoenigEGW-Ultimate-Trigger-Kit-P1606.aspx
ss+P
thanks 818-dvc, this is what i was actually looking for but couldn't find it. didn't really look that hard for it, b/c i didn't see the package in brownells catalog. this is more than likely what i will use thanks.
