Atlgentlegiant
Last time I shot indoor GSSF I got some really bad keyholing. I shot the same ammo through my KKM barrel and everything went well so last night I took a look at the stock barrel. I have not shot any lead or plated loads through the stock barrel and my usual ammo is a mix of UMC target, Atlanta Arms blue box and Georgia Arms canned heat FMJ. About 1.5" from the muzzle the stock barrel was badly gunked up to the point where the rifling was obscured. I only had 250rds through it since I last cleaned it. Thinking back I normally have bad fouling in that one location in the barrel and I have never been able to totally remove it. I have used Break Free powder blast, M-Pro7, Hoppes 9, Balistol and Kleen Bore #10 Copper cleaner and I still have traces of fouling in that spot. Right now I have a rod with a saturated patch in that area trying to soak it off. I have used the Glock nylon brushes, a bronze brush and tons of patches trying to get this out. Has anyone else seen this sort of fouling in that location? Is it common or do I have a bad barrel? I do not see this in my KKM with the same ammo and even longer between cleanings. Any ideas? lee blackman
Is it possible there is an actual high spot in the barrel? Or maybe even a very slight warp or bend in the barrel?

That is what I am thinking may be the problem. I wanted to get it totally cleaned up and will shoot 100 rounds of UMC and/or Speer factory ammo through it soon to see if it fouls badly in that same spot. If it does I will be calling Glock. Wanted to see if anyone else had seen this sort of issue first though.
