That is the policy of teh carriers ( UPS, FedEX ). He may want it overnight so he knows when it will get there but neither the ATF nor the USPS require it. I have had great success shipping long guns via USPS Priority Mail fully insured. They get there in 3 days at a reasonable cost. UPS or FedEX ground is a little less but it takes longer since I'm on the West Coast and it always seems it need to go back East. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
