gunguru
Yesterday, I decided for the first time to completely disassemble my SP01 Shadow. I got him for a few month now, I field strip it a few time, but no complete strip tease. I encounter absolutely no problem and it was a pleasure. My problem is I don’t know if I lost a small spring or not. Let me explain. I removed the slide assembly, then I removed the main spring assembly, I lift the sear spring tab lock (on the safety shaft), then I remove the left safety, after that I slip out the sear assembly and the left safety lever came by itself. No problem up to here. Then I put the gun on table and continue my clean up of already removed parts. When I came back to the frame, I saw the 2 little plungers on each side of safety hole. But “voila”, one (the left one) have a spring, but not the right one. I saw the frame was machined to receive a spring on both side, but only the left plunger have a “prong” to hold a spring. And I can’t remember if I saw a spring when I remove the sear assembly. So my question is : Does the SP01 Shadow have springs on both sides? Thanks for your help. Here’s few pictures of what I’m talking about:
HoMiE
Only one side, if you didn't have ambi and wanted to run safety on other side, then you'd put it on that side. Edited August 9, 2012 by HoMiE
steel1212
my CZC shadow with the stock wide low safeties has a spring and plunger on the left side and a retaining plate on the other side with no spring.
Torogi
I think most of regular SP-01's only have 1 spring. Just on the left.
gunguru
Thanks folks... I'm pretty happy to not : a) Search everywhere in the living room for a 3/8" long small spring b ) order one from wherever, pay the spring 15 cents but 20 bucks of shipping....
