RRR70
Looking for the Major load for my Glock. Can't find much info. What's the good load with N320? Also have some Universal Clays. What's the OAL? As you can see I'm new to that.
Braxton1
4.7 of N320, loaded to 1.125", works in my G35 (KKM barrel) and makes a comfortable Major (168-169). This is with a Precision Delta jacketed 180 FMJ. I have not checked the load with Montana Golds yet.

Getting ready to set up my 550 and this is a load I plan to duplicate. Thank you very much for posting this load info. And yes, I plan to work my way up to this load but I have a similar setup (G35, KKM barrel) and this load is on my list as a target load. Graham Smith
You should not have to crimp a .40 FMJ. If anything, you can use a Lee Taper Crimp die to just remove any excess flare from the case.

Yep, that's what I do. I just use the Dillon Taper Crimp die to remove the flare and get it back straight. Never measured it; just eye-balled it. kevin c
4.7 to 4.9 gr N320 w/ MG180 JHP at 1.135, WSP usually gets me 170 to 175 PF through my G35 stock barrels. YMMV, of course, so work 'em up accordingly. eta: case mouth bell taken out to SAAMI spec diameter of 0.420" (or eyeballed back to straightwall configuration - whatever is easier ) Edited August 16, 2012 by kevin c
Atlgentlegiant
I got it figured out and thanks to all for the information. Now just have to get time to set up the chrono and adjust from there.
msg73
I use 5.1gr of N320 @ 1.135 COL with 180gr Zero bullets out of an M&P40 fullsize to get ~170pf
Braxton1
I just saw where the OP replied and said that he's using Berry's plated bullets. With that said, you should start on the low side of the recommendations. Those bullets usually make speed a little easier than "real" jacketed bullets. I'd probably start at 4.4 or 4.5 of N320. As I said I new to reloading and taking it easy is the best approach IMO. Wasn't been able to get to loading for the last week , but will try to get few more loads out this week and try them on weekend. Lots of great info and help here.
