Paul-the new guy
I want to start assembling parts to build an open gun. I have a pretty good list from the guy that I think will build it but I don't have a good idea where to buy everything. I would like the best deal possible. I want ro start with a caspian slide and a suhemann 3 port barrel. Any ideas?

Paul-the new guy
But I do love a good deal....just bought rudy glasses because I had a 50% off discount code :-) Edited August 9, 2012 by Paul-the new guy
SLM
Shooters Connection would be where I'd start... they have great service and support the sport. They carry Caspian slides and Schuemann barrels. They also have practically every other part you'll need or want.

45PlottHound
FYI I just ordered a slide from Caspian, nothing special but with options they offered. I was quoted up to 8 weeks and this was not from their web site but from Gary Smith at Caspian. Its gonna be a long wait.
gunguru
Brownells may have a lot of fun parts too

Guest
Love Caspian but they do have some wait times on the custom stuff so you should have plenty of time to collect a boat load of aluminum cans. Have you considered selling blood, too? Could probably get a nice holster rig with the blood money.
Paul-the new guy
They buy blood, does it matter who's it is?
OperationHitFactor
Caspian slide from shooters connection. It's cheaper than Casipan because they order them in batches with the reverse plug cut. No wait either.
45PlottHound
I saw those but no stainless and no serrations I was looking for. And for some of the prices I figured it was worth the wait.

Aircooled6racer
Hello: Look at Shooters Connection and Power Factor Shooting Power Factor Shooting have the Briley aluminum guide rod that works great on an open pistol. You might also what to put an add in the classifieds to see if someone has what you are looking for also. Thanks, Eric
Paul-the new guy
Eric, the guy that I am talking to about building the gun for me, bubba smith, says I should use a tungston guide rod. That is the opposite end of the spectrum from what you are saying. Why do you think aluminum?
