JGus
Well, I just bought a new 226 X5 9 yesterday. I have been shooting M&P pro and now plan to try this sig. I shoot steel and three gun. Which model did you buy? Allround with decocker, or one of the SA only models? New version or older (classic) version? Absolutely great pistols. Jaxshooter
I have several MecGar mags for my X-5 Allround and can't tell the difference from the factory mags.
JAFO
I have several MecGar mags for my X-5 Allround and can't tell the difference from the factory mags. That's because they are factory mags. At least, that's what my AR came with. When you buy one of the SA models that come with a magwell, they come with the extended basepads.
Blueknight749
I picked up an X5 Comp in 40S&W from Tombstone Tactical in Arizona for $1571 shipped to my FFL in Texas last week! Got the gun in three days. Sent both Dan (aftermarket magwell) and Roger (expended basepads) and email and got hooked up pretty nicely. I also reached out to Reeds Family Outdoor Outfitters in Walker, MN and picked up several OEM X5 mags at $45 a piece. Not bad considering that Topgun Supply wants $95 a pop! I had some practice with it today and hit that mag release by mistake....grr.. Next on the list is a stock mag release and some G10 grips (I have small hands). Once I save (recover) my pennies, the pistol, along with my Sig P229R DAK and Sig 1911 TACOPS Carry are going to The Sig Armorer (Robert Burke) in Little Elm, Tx. He does all of Max's work!! I had the pleasure of meeting him at the Shot Show this year.

wmetzler01
Been wanting an X5 super match in 40 but trade restrictions put the kibosh on my plan. I really like how you can move the trigger forward and aft without ripping the gun apart like my 2011. I know similar trade restrictions were applied to hk years ago for a similar reason; but after the issue was resolved, it took a few years for the hk supply to level here in the states. So it seems I won't be getting one for a few years... Has anyone taken a p226 SAO and attempted to bring it up to a level close to the X5 super match? Blueknight749
Actually, I visited this german site: www.rothe-waffen.de and ordered some parts to include the flat trigger found on the Super Match. My X5 Comp has an adjustable trigger along with my Match pistol so I'll be switching over to flat triggers!
