Which Action Block for a VLTOR Upper

Do you prefer a clamshell type block? If so, I'm not sure. I have personally used the DPMS action block (that utilizes the take-down pins to hold the upper, DPMS part # TL-PRC) with success. I would imagine it would be less likely to pose problems with the VLTOR considering its beefier outer profile. Some people have expressed doubts regarding the strength of the lugs for the take-down pins, but I have not experienced any issues building 3 AR's.

Ya, I was wanting to use a clam shell type but wasn't sure how the VLTOR would fit it. Sounds like I better go with the DPMS. I appreciate the offer but I'm not even in the country, I'm in Texas. :)

I've found a vice set over at Joe-Bob's, it includes blocks for both the upper and lower for $42. I think I'm going to get it and use a Dremel to get it to fit the VLTOR upper. It's cheap enough that if I can't make it work I haven't lost that much.

Any recommendations on which action block fits best on a VLTOR upper?

Thanks in advance,

Tar

Get the Block Worx vise block.

Hands down one of the best, spikes tactical has them.

And yes, it put my Vltor upper together perfect!
