gmantwo
Well the 2012 Masters is done. Another great shooting match. We had a couple of new shooters and got to see many old friends. We had 4 sub Juniors this year, and one of them was a delightful 12 year old young lady. She had never shot in any pistol competition or fired a gun with a scope, but she did great, hitting 19 Long Range plates and 7 Precision. She was awarded a pistol belt and a little over $100 in prize money plus her trip to the prize table. She'll be back next year, I hope the boys practice, a lot! There was a seperate prize table for the Sub Juniors this year. Sure hope we can get some additional yoing shooters out next year. They are the future of shooting sports. There was something like 6-7 guns on the prize table, several Leupolds and several C-Mores. Saw some really nice rifle cases up there too. The ribeye steak dinner was great again as well. The Long Range Rifle side match was fantastic. 18 steel targets out to 400 yards and then 1 bonus target at 500 and 1 at 600 as well. The 5&600 targets were optional and reduced your overall time if you had the guts to go for them. This is STILL the greatest shooting match in the world! Hope to see you there next year

gmantwo
The Masters is the most challenging, difficult, awesome match in the World. There is nothing else like it, period. Three different disciplines of pistol shooting combined into one championship. Precision rimfire pistol, Steel Challenge style pistol and Long Range pistol(6" plates at 200 meters. Try that IMHSA!). There are also rifle and shotgun side matches. The match is always the first Thursday in August. Shooting is Thursday and Friday, with the Local Hero and High 16 shoot off and the Steak Dinner Banquet, Awards and prize table on Saturday. The range at PASA is great. A nice, family atmosphere with wifes, mothers and significant others(not all of them ladies) sitting around under the shade trees talking and catching up. There is a free Bar B Que on Friday night for everyone. There were 14 MAJOR prizes on the table this year, as there is every year. Hope to see you there P.S. There is a Dress Rehearsal held traditionally the first Sunday in June, show up and see what it's all about, for FREE
