Sight movement during recoil...

At a recent match some of us were talking about seeing the sights rise and calling shots. I see a small bit of upward travel, thats where I call my shot(if my eyes and brain are cooperating at least) then nothing, then maybe the last 10% of upward travel and the change in direction and finally back into my notch if I'm doing my part. Sort of looks more like a quick dash up followed by a sweeping arc back down, this is with a red FO front blade. Production div, waiting for my first classification results to be posted.

How much do you see? Maybe state your class, division, years in the sport etc. I for one am curious if there are many that see much more, if not all of the movement and at what level they compete.

after reading brian's book i have been paying attention to the movement of my pistol. i see the entire movement from list to the rightward move to back into the notch. i am trying to determine if the rightward movement is my added pressure or not.

admittedly i see less in matches....well i am not remembering it...i am trying to see more then.....

When my grip is on, I perceive a lift from the rear notch and an almost immediate return; I am unaware of the front post hitting a peak and falling back into place, unless I specifically watch for it.

When my grip is off, it dances like a trained bear as it leaves the notch, but still settles back down into the same spot-- albeit perceivably slower (though only a few hundredths on the timer).
