NBCs Coverage of the Olympics

DVR'd a block of Olympics that was supposed to have shooting. Got home and fast-forwarded through it and didn't see a second of shooting sports coverage. Instead there was a womans basketball game that ended sixty-something to fourty-something. Went back through slower and I caught a couple of outdoorsy advertisements for one of the larger sporting goods big-box stores during said basketball game. I'm betting that said store didn't pay for basketball.

I know NBC hates guns, but it's the freeking OLYMPICS! Oh well, a couple more weeks and I can go about my buisness of ignoring this joke of a network except for three hours a week during football season.

I agree, only thing regarding guns so far was the first day when they said the lady from Texas came in 7th in 10 meter air rifle and then a little later when the 5 time Olympic medal winner won the skeet gold medal. I'd a lot rather watch some of the shooting events than 4 hours of a bicycle race !!!

I wonder if it's just me but I have only watched a few minutes of the entire Olympics this time around. It's just not doing anything for me anymore. And I think I saw more commercials than actual competition AND they kept showing the same commercials at that.

Nothing new there. If you wanted to see it, you had to go to one of the affiliate cable channels or watch it streaming from the nbc olympics website or through their ipad app, which is what I did.
