ohsevenflhx
Any suggestions on parts to build a rock solid open Glock 34 for a 50ish female that will probably always be a D or C class shooter? She shoots production now as a D class with her Glock 34. Would like a reliable dot sight, magazine basepad ext, barrel suggestions, and trigger set-up. I would like something reliable that she will enjoy shooting with little problems.
sweetback
I would recommend a slide mounted (dovetail) red dot. Burris fast fire,DeltaPoint. No comp. A 130 PF load. Mag well, after market trigger. Tungsten guide rod. 13 lb. spring. If using minor load no need for comp. simplifies tuning. Should run as reliable as a Prod.

atmar
id recommend the sjc compensator mount, its a mount and a comp all in one package.
Glockman1000
id recommend the sjc compensator mount, its a mount and a comp all in one package. The SJC Convertible Compensator kit is for the G17/G22 only, but would have been a great choice as it's come down in price. I guess it would depend on the budget. Cheapest I can think of ATM: LW G34 extended ported barrel, a FastFire dot sight slide mounted, & Seattle Slug mag guide with Taylor Freelance or Arredondo extensions. Glockworx competition spring kit with 25¢ trigger job. Aftermarket guide rod with various spring weights for load tailoring. You could really get up in price though depending on what level of performance she is looking for.
Flexmoney
Why Open? Does she have bad vision?
Craig N
I use my carry gun sometimes in open. It has a RMR melted into the slide. I also have a slide cut for my 34 but I only have the one RMR right now so I can't run both at the same time.
ohsevenflhx
Why Open? Does she have bad vision? Not too bad of vision. I was just thinking larger magazine capacity, and red dot sight.
