BBBB
I've had the Dillon electronic scale for about 10 years. As you might expect I use it to set the powder measure and to weigh bullets. This weekend when I attempted to calibrate it I get a consistent "Cal E" (error). It appears to be reading correct or close to it but obviously I am not going to trust it if it is reporting an error. I am WAY outside of the 1 year warranty Dillon offers on electronics but I called to see if they had any recommendations and what their policy actually is. They recommended I try rotating the scale platform and try calibrating again. I am going to try this tonight. Assuming it does not work they will allow me to trade my defective unit in and get a new on for $85 (vs. $139). To be clear I am not complaining about any of this. I understand that they don't have as much control over the life of the electronics as they do for their presses and choose to offer a different level of warranty. I'm satisfied to have gotten 10 years out of the scale, but now need to decide how to replace it. My initial thought is why spend $85 plus return shipping when I can spend $75 on the one sold on this site? I've read a few of the posts regarding scales and I've only seen positive comments on the scale that Brian sells. It also has a longer warranty. I'm curious if anyone has had any experience to suggest that the Dillon scale would in some way be more accurate or easier to use or any other reason I should not buy the scale sold by Brian (assuming I can not get my current scale to calibrate tonight). I shoot primarily pistol and will most often be weighing charges between 3.0 and 6.0 grains if that makes a difference.
BBBB
In looking at the specs again I see that the scale sold by Brian is battery operated and the Dillon can be plugged in so no battery is required. Can anyone who uses one of the scales sold by Brian comment on the battery life?

Can anyone who uses one of the scales sold by Brian comment on the battery life? I have had one of those scales for about 5 years and have only had to replace the batteries once. I do have it set for auto shutdown which saves the batteries. A good scale PS: It replaced the old Dillon that died after about 10 years.
