nelly
Hi all, Want to touch base re: Small Pistol Primers Magnum for 9mm Major, has anyone used them ? I have had good success with Win Sm Pistol & Sm Rifle Primers with 8.0 to 8.3grs of HS6 under 124gr FMJRN.I have an opportunity to pick up a few thousand Federal Sm Pist Magnum at a decent price,so if anyone has any info or first hand loading experience I would appreciate the heads up.I also will be loading Win Auto Comp @ 6.8 to 7.2grs under 124's(FMJ & MG JHP's).Thanks again...Nelly. GrumpyOne
Technically, 9mj is a magnum load....use them.
CocoBolo
Technically, 9mj is a magnum load....use them. I use Win SPM almost exclusively with 9 maj. Fed SPP work ok so the SPM should be ok as well if not too soft for your load and rig. Watch for primer puch thru with Fed.

gng4life
Same here, I tested my 8.5 HS6 load with Fed SPP and SPM primers, the PF and average speed were almost identical...
