gunner40sw
I ran across some 9mm once fired brass from a police range marked 9 mm RWS which I believe was a frangiable non toxic load. Is this brass able to be reloaded.
retarmyaviator
Yes, you should have no problem reloading it. I fired some that have been reloaded Saturday at a match reloaded it again yesterday. It reloads just as well as Win, RP, Federal and other more common brass. yoshidaex
Anyone have an idea who the manufacturer is? Just curious. Came across quite a few but they end up in my practice pile.

SlowShooter
Ive also seen it as a 115 gn FMJ load, they use to sell it at Wal-mart a few years ago (during the shortage).

JonF
According to the guy that does the "Once Fired Brass" blog, RWS seems to fall in the middle of the range of brass reloadility/longevity. He claims a tested value of about 35 reloads MTBF rating. The best brass rates in in the low 50's and the worst brass rates in the teens so the RWS is a good middle runner. http://headstampfinebrass.blogspot.com/2012/06/case-life-of-9mm-brass-reloading-rws.html
ProGunGuy
rws ammo was sold in walmart. the ones i have seen have crimped primer pockets. other than that, they reload like every other.
Wayne Dobbs
I've shot and reloaded several hundred rounds of the RWS 124 FMJ ammo that was in circulation a couple of years ago. The primer pockets on the ammo I shot were not crimped, but they were very tight.
