roostershooter
I hate the stock finish on my Glock 20 SF, and am looking to redo it as soon as I find an alternative. I have the equipment and training for firearms finish applications, and can't figure out which one to use. In the past I have used Duracoat, but I'm not sure that it will stand up to the reholstering and slide friction. So, what should I use? I've thought about sending it off for an EXO job, but couldn't find any feedback on it. Basically, I don't like the chalky gray finish that comes on the Glock slides now, and want something more appealing. target1911
CERAKOTE is my vote. Look on YouTube for Cerakote durability or test. They do an abrasive test on the most population finishes.
a matt
Isonite. This is why. I have Cameron's 6in 2011. The gun and barrel have isonite finish. I have shot a lot this summer 3 local matches each mo. and 5 majors so far. The gun looks like I just picked it up, the barrel has wear but the finish is still on it. Even where the slide rides the frame still looks good. It does have wear but the finish is still there. This stuff is TUFF and looks great. It's a flat black finish.
