Bansheex
I'm looking for a holster for a G34 with a Carver mount, and a C-More Railway dot. Is there anything other than a CR Speed holster type setup? It's my wife's Open Steel gun. She is just starting in the open class, and I want to make it as simple as possible to draw the gun. She has been shooting 22cal open, and starting from low ready. For centerfire, she will have to start from the holster. Thanks
EkuJustice
with the carver mount your pretty much limited to the modified cr speed. with the sjc mounts that modify the frame, your opening the door to the ghost, racemaster etc
nick romero
would the DAA race master possibly work for this set up? i know it has gotten alot of great reviews i just don't know if it would fit with the set you have
Bansheex
I have the CR setup for my open XDM. I will have her try that and see how she does. Do you guys think I could modify a Blackhawk Serpa type holster?
EkuJustice
The problem with the carver mount is how it attaches to the gun using the rail severely limits the holsters avaliable. the racemaster uses the front of the trigger guard to hold the gun which is obstructed on the carver. For kydex, it looks like it would almost need to be molded from scratch as there is alot of extra gun to wrap around at the bottom. The carver mount is nice and easy to install but is not holster friendly
Bansheex
That's true. I guess she will just have to get use to a CR type holster. Thanks guys!
EkuJustice
race holster shouldnt take a whole lot of getting use to for steel which is stand and draw. I would bet it could be figured out well in an hr or 2 of dryfire
67ls7vert
I'm having the same questions on the holsters for the carver mount. I think I like the deltapoint which opens the holster selection greatly. Chris
