APL-G35
I'll be shooting an upcoming 3 gun match in tac ops where they are using uspsa multi gun rules. My question is with the shotgun can you load to 10 rds after the start? The only rules I could find state that it is a 8+1 loaded at start. Thanks. gng4life
Yeah, that's what I read also, after the buzzer, no capacity limit...
MarkCO
Yeah, that's what I read also, after the buzzer, no capacity limit... NO, that is not correct. As of today, the rule is no more than 9 rounds loaded before or after the buzzer. Appendix D2.12 of the 2012 Shotgun rules states: Maximum of 9 rounds loaded, Max. of 8 in the case of Rule 8.1.1.2 (unloaded chamber start). The MG rules are a brief overview, but the actual shotgun rules apply. The newly proposed rules would allow unlimited capacity after the start. The controlling Shotgun Rules page 69. MarkCO
Thanks for the correction markCO. No worries. Shooting Open with Tactical gear is not the end of the world, but can be annoying. I'd still confirm with the RM just to be on the safe side. Would suck if everyone else was loading up and you were running by the rules.
gng4life
Thanks Mark. The provisional rules are still posted on the website and that is what I have.
MarkCO
Thanks Mark. The provisional rules are still posted on the website and that is what I have. The provisional rules are accurate, and can be used. But the division requirements are just summaries and somewhere in there, it says you have to look at the individual weapons rulebook...I know, that is a PITA, especially for the RM...4 rulebooks plus all the BOD changes and NROI rulings. But it is changing for the better and the BOD is simplifying the rules. Make sure to go look at the proposed rules and make comments to your AD.
