300blk usable for 3gun?

I am figuring out my options for the FNH 3 Gun Championship match.

I plan to use my KSG (which is pump) and glock 21 (45 acp) which means I am 2 for 3 for Heavy Metal.

Could I use 300blk for my rifle? I am not familiar with this caliber and have never shot it. But from my understanding I can use all my AR gear for it. My Lower is marked multi cal so no worries there.

I dont have a 7.62/308 rifle otherwise.

Here are the equipment rules from last year's match:

5.6.4 Rifle

5.6.4.1 Not more than one (1) non-magnified electronic or optical sight is permitted.

Electronic or optical sights originally designed to be capable of any magnification

(whether used or not) are prohibited.

5.6.4.2 Supporting devices (bipods, etc.) are prohibited.

5.6.4.3 Compensators and muzzle brakes may not exceed 1 inch in diameter and 3

inches in length (as measured from the barrel muzzle to the end of the compensator).

5.6.4.4 Magazines may be loaded with not more than twenty (20) rounds.

5.6.4.5 Minimum caliber is .30”.

5.6.4.6 Minimum power factor (bullet weight x velocity/1000) is 320.

If you can repeatedly make 320 pf from the BLK it would be allowed based on these rules. It would be interesting to see if anyone actually has a chrono at the match to check the load, because I'm sure the PF would be challenged.

I think the 300BLK is a cool cartridge, but there is nothing HEAVY about it and just my personal opinion but if it's not at least a 7.62x51, it shouldn't be allowed in the division. But, I'm not the one putting on the match or making the rules, so my opinion is only worth a grain of salt as a participator in the division.

Not sure you would want to anyways. I was at a match recently where someone tried to run it. He hit ok out to about 250 but started to struggle beyond that. More importantly though, he spent a fair bit of time recovering the brass. I think he woud have been less worried if he was ejecting silver dollars. I guess the brass can really eat up the pocketbook.
