new guy in va beach

Hi gang, ..

new guy here from Virginia beach, VA.

I used to live in Northern va and shoot matches up there, .. but haven't shot since 2003 or so, ..

been a while. I used to shoot open, have an Infinity IMM open gun in 38 super comp.

2004 I crashed a formula car racing at Watkins Glen and broke my back in 3 places, ..

I'm OK, .. but don't move as fast as I once did. ;-)

There doesn't seem to be any matches in the Virginia Beach area, .. I would have thought

with all of the Seal teams and local military that there would at least be something.

Anyway, .. hello all !!!!!

I'm very close to Chesapeake, .. .. I'll have to call and see what's available.

I know Todd J ran some matches at what used to be called BlackWater, .. but I don't think

anything goes on out there ay more. I think it's called Academi now.

They do a 3gun match on 2nd Sunday and a USPSA match on the 4th Sunday there.

Next USPSA match there is on the 22nd of this month. You have to register with Terry by the Tuesday before the match so they can get the access list cleared through Academi.

I've done a few matches there and it's a good time. Bring plenty of water! It's a long day on hot & humid ranges.
