July 2012 Match

This match will feature shooting from various positions, shotgun reloading, and many other shooting facets. Know your Point-of-Aim vs. Point-of-Impact at ranges from contact distance to 100 yards for all firearms. Also, we’ll be re-introducing shotgun slugs into the competition, so be sure to know their trajectory out to about 100 yards.

Also, please be familiar with the new rules. Key items of interest:

- Scoring on paper is now 1 A/B or 2 C/D for both pistol and rifle.

- The only acceptable divisions are Open, Tactical Optics, Tactical Limited, and Heavy Metal.

- PCC and Trooper are no longer recognized divisions.

- Box-fed and X-Rail shotguns are classified as Open guns.

- Non-magnified (1x) optics are legal in the Tactical Limited division. This does not include variable magnification optics that are set on the 1x setting (e.g. Vortex Razor 1-4X on the 1x setting).

- Some stages will require preloading of the shotgun. Do so only under the supervision/direction of the RO. Do not handle your shotgun once it is preloaded, unless under direct RO supervision.

- Shooting illegal/improper ammunition at steel targets will result in stage disqualification and a fee assessed to the shooter, which must be paid before continuing. Consult rules for details.

Round Count:

Rifle: 75 Rounds

Pistol: 75 Rounds

Shotgun: 50 Rounds (Birdshot)

5 Rounds (Slugs)

**TIP: Round count represents shooting the match clean (without missing). Bring double the round count, you can always take ammo home with you**

Match Fee Breakdown:

Adult Shooter: $30

LGC Member: $20

Junior Shooter: $15

Working RO: $10

Schedule of Events:

Setup – 1000 (day before match)

Individuals who help with setup are guaranteed a spot in the match.

0800 – Registration (First come first serve, Limit: 70 Shooters)

0845 – Shooter’s Meeting

0900 – Shooting Begins

1700 – Shooting Ends (Estimate)
