RedValk
I have been watching the Dillon progress press videos and wonder when the case prep gets done? Doesn't the primer need to be removed before trimming and removing the burrs?
98sr20ve
Most don't trim pistol. So no deburring either. Also it deprimes and primes on the press. You don't clean primer pockets and all that stuff either. It's pretty simple really.
RedValk
I thought you had to trim to universal length to get the taper crimp right?
Retread1911
RedValk, There will be some variance in the amount of taper crimp applied to pistol brass that is not trimmed consistently. I have never had an issue that I could relate to crimp variance. With 40 I do full length size any range pickups to deal with the Glock Belly issue; which is a bulge at the bottom of the case from the unsupported chamber in the Glock. If it comes out of my para I dod not even mess with that. I just clean the brass and poor it back into the case feeder with spent primers and all. At the end of the revolution in the press it has been completely 'reloaded' Cheers and welcome to the board!. Retread
