gcsok9
I am new to reloading and have only used Unique and Bullseye for my .38 Special and my .40 S & W. Is anyone else using Bullseye powder? I am currently using 5.0 grains of Bullseye, 155 grn Berrys Round nose in my Glock model 22 .40 S & W. Seems to be a decent load. Others I shoot with are using Titegroup and Clay's. I am reluctant to change given the fact that I have never had a malfunction and the load doesn't seem to want to break my wrist. Just wanna hear what opinions I can get from everyone else. bikerburgess
you cant really go wrong with those powders, they have been around forever and are normally available everywhere. they may not be the absolute best powder for a specific loading but they are plenty good enough. I know several other shooters ranging from novice to GM that also use Bullseye with good results. Mike
BullyDog
I only use bullseye on my target loads 9mm, 40sw, and 45 acp. Works great and really never had any issues. I prefer using accurate #5 or #7 on match loads.
retarmyaviator
I use Bullseye for 45 ACP, never had a problem with it.
dogtired
I shoot lead and Bullseye, the only downside is it is a little smoky.
wgj3
What dogtired said. The stuff is great as long as you're ok with a little smoke. I love it in 45. Great for 44 Mag as well, and can make for some really stout loads.
redmanfixit
old standard. very quick. inexpensive. right up there at about #1 on the burning chart. Smoke with lead is very likely erosion of the base of the bullet and lube smoke because it's pretty hot.
chriss044
Long ago I used Bulls-eye and then I was told to use Solo 1000 instead. Whatever the load was with Bulls-eye use the same with Solo 1000. The reasoning was, the Solo is cleaner than Bulls-eye. I would shoot Bulls-eye in my 45 and have unburnt powder all over my fore arm and hand when I was done. Followed the advice and saw no change in accuracy and it was much cleaner.
Mcinterest
I use Bullseye for 9 40 & 45. I used to use 5.0 withBerry's 165 in 40 sw but recently backed down to 4.3 and like it better, less snap and just as accurate. Well as accurate as I can be.
