Dan Sierpina
Presume some are using this, does it work well and how do you like it?? A good friend of mine tried it, and was not happy with it. He got poor accuracy, and it was slower (veloctiy) than he was after. He tried AR Comp, and accuracy and velocity were back to his favorite Vitivouri loads at half the cost. perrysho
My Experience with CFE223 is much better than the above post. I am very careful, clean, resize, check and trim if needed, chanfer neck inside, taper crimp in the cannelure grove, (not so much to jack up pressures.) At our range, out to 135 yds max, get very good groups. Stag Arms 3G and Millet scope. Loading CFE223 24 & 25 gr under Horn 55 gr FMJ Can Boattail. Guess all powders are not for everyone. LOL Have FUN be SAFE, Perry
392heminut
A couple of the guys over at 308.com are using it in both .223 and .308 and really like how it performs.
tonyinomaha
I just got done running some Horn 55gr FMJ can boattails over 24.8 of the CFE 223 and they were pretty solid. (Stag Arms 3g 18' barrel, JP Adj gas block) Groups were a little over an inch at 100 meters and they were pretty clean. My old load was 25 gr of Varget with the same bullets and this CFE load was damn near the same. The one thing I like about the CFE is that it meters wells from my 550. That was the problem with Varget. It never metered well from my 550 so I had to size then load powder then back to the 550 to seat bullet. Pain in the butt. Its worth a try to see if it works for you. Edited July 30, 2012 by tonyinomaha
