This would be my first stab at this type of match but we have such a great facility, I hate to see it not being used.

Hey all the range at Sparta is available this weekend and I could put together an Outlaw style 3 gun match if anyone would like to try it with us.

Since we are kind of limited on distance it would be rifle on paper ,pistol on a mix of steel and paper and shotguns on knockdown and clay targets.

Rifles would be limited to 223, 7.62x39 and pistol calibers and shotguns would be #6 shot or smaller and maybe a few optional slugs with a bird shot alternative.

This would NOT ! be a sanctioned event but we would follow a very SIMPLE mix of rules from the 3 gun sanctioning bodies.

AT least 4 stages probably 5 or 6 depending on interest and weather.

I think we could have several divisions or classes right know I am thinking Open, production,western and rim fire.

Scoring would be a simple time plus misses scoring system .

If you get it organized as a regular event with straight up outlaw rules, there are a bunch of MO 3gunners that would go.

I would come up but we have a club match in owensboro that same weekend. If it become a regular thing I'm sure I would make it up for matches pretty regularly. Just don't keep it on first Saturdays as that's when the club match I run is moving too in August.

I'm with Rustin on this one. There is a number of 3 gunners from the Decatur area that would support a Sparta match.

We are in the beginning stages right now but it will happen .

New berms to be built by end of the year for longer yardage then we can really expand on it .
