Transitions drill at 10 yards

You titled this transition drill but your draw is slow. Look how long the gun is up and out before you press the trigger. Push out high and be looking for the sights and that should help.

Snap the eyes from the sights lifting to the next target. Might drill it with one shot per target and snap to the next target and get the transition done twice as many times with less rounds.

I'm having trouble watching the sight lift after every shot. Sometimes I see it several times in a row, other times I blink - or something to that effect - and miss the sight lifting.

Today I experimented with doubling up on ear protection, and the bill drill... Other than that, how else would you recommend I train to see the front sight lift?

I have some of the same problems. Being able to see the sight lift all the time. Last week I made a break through shooting groups at 25 yards on a 10 inch steel plate. I made perfect calls for about 30 shots in a row. Saw the sight lift, called it a hit and then heard the ping. It was a great ending to a good session on the practice range.

Would you suggest I shoot groups at 25 yards, watching for sight lift and calling my shots, rather than a bill drill?

Like stated above, I've doubled my ear protection - plugs and muffs - and shot bill drills... only to have inconsistent glimps of sight lift.

I believe years of slow fire at 15 and 25 yards, and the use of shoot and see targets, has attributed to training scars that make watching the sight lift difficult.

Should I shoot at the berm, over and over, to train my subconsious? If so, how fast? Bill drill? Slow? What?
