stre-tch
The only problem with the cav-15 mkii lower I had was the pistol grip. I would really like to put one together again for a lightweight build but still am hesitant with the grip (I have thought of talking to Robar seeing as they fix grips on all sorts of polymer pistols but don't want to fork out the change) Now with the MKA 1919 having a polymer lower and mods coming out I wonder if Firebird Precision's or Tromix's grip adapter could work on the the Cav-15? My link If not how about using bondo to reform the grip? Would something else be better? If it fits then my one major gripe would be solved. Thanks for your input. atp
The Cav-15 pistol grip is hollow, and is substantially larger than a stock AR-15 grip. It should be possible to fill it in with epoxy (Marine-Tex or something like that), then sand it down to the shape you want.
ncopenshooter
Similar to atp. I'd fill with epoxy or Bondo. Sand to the shape you want. Cover with a thin layer of epoxy and then add sand or skateboard tape for texture.
