gary2232
I know when shooting moly coated lead bullets the moly coats the barrel and accuracy is improved as you shoot more moly rounds. So if I switch between FMJ and plated bullets this cause problems when I go back to moly coated lead?. Will I need to clean barrel and allow moly to recoat barrel when I switch back to moly lead rounds???
gary2232
I must of done spoor job of phrasing my question. In short can switch from moly rounds to FMJ rounds pose any problems in accuracy or bernal leading?
al503
A few passes with a brass brush after shooting moly and my bbl is spotless. I would just clean the bbl between and call it good.
huskerlrrp
I've never had any accuracy issues when I was using both (although I had some leading from Moly bullets). I soak my barrel overnight in Hoppes #9 and then brass brush the bore.
