h4444
Shot USPSA competitively for several years in Iowa and have been on the "raise the kids" hiatus. But, I may be getting to the point I could shoot an occasional match again. Not every match coming and going like I used too, but maybe a couple/few matches a year. After getting out of the game about 5 years ago, I sold off virtually all my gear. Correction,,,,,I practically gave the stuff away. So, I snagged a good deal on a Glock 17 (Wanted to get a 5.25 XDM, but for nearly $200 less, I went with the 17). What's a good production holster that is compliant with today's rules (I haven't looked at a rule book in about 6 years). and What is a good set of mag pouches for the 17? Not looking to spend a fortune. Looking for good solid performance. H4444 - Byron
Noximus03
Welcome back to the game, Byron! Holster wise for a production pistol, most are using molded holsters with not much positive retention to speak of. let me give you a few links to help you on your way to a decision. Blade-Tech Dropped and Offset (DOH)- http://blade-tech.com/Black-Ice-DOH-pr-1211.html Comp-Tac- http://www.comp-tac.com/product_info.php?products_id=53 Ghost- http://czcustom.com/ghoststingerglocksmlrh.aspx Double Alpha- http://www.doublealpha.biz/ipsc-holsters-rigs/holsters/PDR_belt_ride_holster Obviously, theres a ton of them that are way cheaper, but you still get what you pay for. That old rule hasnt changed at all. As far as Mag Pouches are concerned, take your pick that most cost effective for you. I use a Comp-tac Belt Feed, but thats a little pricey ($120). The gun rules have changed more than the equipment rules have. You can now run aftermarket Guide Rods and springs, fiber optic front sights, you can even have a semi-custom trigger now. Good luck, and again, welcome back. Edited May 24, 2012 by Noximus03

98sr20ve
Sidearmor makes a really nice holster. I like it better then my Bladetech. I also like their may holders. Cant on the sidearmour is more adjustable. Mag holders are cheaper but still nicely made. Edited May 25, 2012 by 98sr20ve
jailer252
Comp-tac is extremely popular both for holsters and pouches. The classified sections is a great place to bargain shop. Edited July 17, 2012 by jailer252
