davidwiz
I've been using warm soapy water and a q-tip, but I can't get into the recess where the case rim goes. Compressed air doesn't really work. Any other suggestions?
.40AET
It's a pain in the ass, but if something is stuck in there, I use a small allen wrench to clean out the notch. I have also used a small gauge wire to do the same thing.
Flexmoney
I use one of my many "M-16" toothbrushes.
davidwiz
Thanks. I'll give it a try. As for more general cleaning questions - how do you clean the primer pickup tubes and the primer feed tube? Do you pour boiling water down them or clean them w/ a brush? -David
uscbigdawg
Brake cleaner or Hoppe's. Rich
Chriss Grube
Just had the whole press torn apart 2 days ago. Hose the crap out of it with brake cleaner then wipe it down and give it a shot of Corrosion X. I small flat screw driver blade cleans the shellplate fine. Keep a can on Compressed air on the bench and blow the crap off when you fill the primers every 100.
