yellow
Who has a 357 sig conversion for his XFive in 40S&W? Where does your barrel come from? From Sig Sauer? From IGB? Is ot drop in, or does it require some gunsmithing? Can you recommend it? Or are there a lot of problems? Please let me know. Best regards
huskerlrrp
I have not personally done an X-Five, but I have in a couple P226s and a P229. I'd recommend BarSto. You can order the barrel from them, but you may have to wait a few weeks. They can also fit it for you if you are not familiar with doing so. It runs just as smooth as a factory 40 S&W set up, and you may find with the BarSto barrel that it will be more accurate.
Joe L
I've got a Bar-Sto 9mm in a 40 cal P226 standard slide. Works great. All the fitting it requires is a little touch to get the barrel to lock up completely. The barrel comes about 0.001-0.002" wide at the breech lug and at the locking lug surface. Not a problem to fit at all. The barrel is excellent. About the only one I shoot any more. The trick is going to be to get Bar-Sto to make you a 357 barrel for an X-5, as I don't think they get many orders for them. I've had good luck with e-mail using the link on their site. Nice folks.
