shooter995
Anyone have any experience using Bayou Bullets in a Open Minor Gun?? If so what bullets weight did you use (115,124)?? Did you have any build up in the comp at all?? What powder did you use?? What PF did you load to?? This data will be for a Glock 17 with either a SJC or Carver Minor comp. All info is appreciated. Thank in advance
Hi-Power Jack
experience using Bayou Bullets in a Open Minor Gun?? what bullets weight did you use any build up in the comp?? Shooter, if Bayou bullets are lead, they will mess up your comp unless you clean the lead out. Much better to stay with JHP's with the base clad in copper. Bullet weight preference is personal, some swear by the 115's or 121's, but most beginners seem to prefer 124's. Most common powder for beginners is HS6 or WAC - others are preferred by experts - require more experimentation, diligence, etc IMHO
shooter995
I have been loading for a few years, & have played with a few different powders. I mainly use tight group, for everything from 380 to 10mm. I'v talked to Donnie @ Bayou Bullets & he claims that his dry lube formula can be shot a Major PF through a comp & not lead it. His bullets are not a polly coating.....it's something no one else does. I have used them be for with great success, even in factory Glock barrels. I was putting a feeler out to see if anyone has actually tried it be for I did. I appreciate the info tho!
