5pins
I’m glad I found this thread, I just picked up a Versa Max yesterday at a Dick’s sporting goods. It was on closeout, $950 out the door.

urikagold
Send it to Crucible Armament and be done. Best shotgun I have ever shot.
ericridebike
Send it to Crucible Armament and be done. Best shotgun I have ever shot. Great looking shotgun! Just got my Versamax Tactical that I haven't even had a chance to shoot yet. Added a Roulette Tactical +2 mag cap and have a new lifter on the way from Remington to send to get welded. Was hoping to be able to order one of the new Remington lifters from the versamax competition tactical, but they aren't available to order quite yet. Also might add a rear sight at some point, but will shoot it a bit first and see how it does.
5pins
I haven’t had a chance to shoot mine yet, I was sick all weekend. What kind of sadomasochist designed that lifter?
Mthomas0001
Has anyone had any issues with the bolt locking to the rear with their Versamax's?? Mine has about 450 rounds through it and the bolt is starting to lock to the rear after 45-50 rounds. The only connection to the problem I can figure is that the bolt that attaches the stock to the receiver wants to walk loose and that is when the problem starts. I tighten it up and the problem goes away. I have already applied blue thread locker so we'll see. Anyone else experienced this with the Versamax? HadleyOwens
Make sure that your firing pin retention pin is not working free and contacting the receiver.
77Litespeed
There are two springs, an inner and outer spring, for the bolt release. Try taking the inner one out.
