6.8 gr of winchester auto comp, winchester small rifle primer

oal 1.135,

That seems a bit short does this work better for you then say 1.150

With a kkm barrel unless you work on the chamber 1.140-1.145 is about as long as you can go.

besides any thing above 1.140 starts to get into a issue with feeding well in a 9mm mag.

I load 1.158 -1. 160 in my kkm. Works fine in my barrel and my mags.

Well got to shoot the new open gun tonight.WOW it is great.

shot about 150 rds. 100 major and 50 or so at 150 PF

6.8 gr of winchester auto comp, winchester small rifle primer

oal 1.135,125 gr jhp-c bullet. 1408 av fps

The big stick will hold 29 so i can start with 30 in the gun.

I did a 30 rd start and gun functions with no issues.

25 round rapid fire no issues and off a rest will keep

the hits in about a 3inch group at 20 yards.( im no bullseye shooter)

First match sat. in columbia s.c., I guess the proof will be in the pudding.

Well did not win the match but the gun ran 100% no issues.

A buddy shot the other steel gun only he shot minor and

it also ran 100%.I did manage to win a stage but was alittle

out of control on a couple of stages. Also both big sticks

ran with 29 rd starts.got alot of complements at the range as well.

That always makes you feel good...

Heres the video from this weekend of the new caver custom.

I don't know why my barrel would have been reamed... I'm pretty sure others here load out to 1.160.

The 121 IFP is a 115gr JHP with the cavity filled with lead.

Great videos. I am going to go to Bobby next year and give him my 17 so he can do his magic.

SUPERDUPER: Do you ever shoot in Summerville?

Noximus03: Hey bro, hope to see you next month in Fernandina Beach (SEPSA)

You should go to Summerville when you can. Its a nice range and they ALWAYS have a great match's and setup's, just like they do at Fernandina Beach (SEPSA). Congrats on that, you must be a pretty good stage designer.

Wish I could be there. I'll be offshore for next month, but I might make it back for August. Hope to see you then.

Damm Bro, seems like you never get a chance to shoot. And when you do, I am not there LOL

Latest update on my Open Division Glock with SJC sideways mount;

Totally satisfied with my decision on the mount / dot combination. The C-more is flawless and fast.

I have settled into shooting USPSA minor power factor with excellent results from the two club matches I have shot with this pistol, third place over-all at first match and second over-all at the second one. The dot allows me to obtain mostly "A Zone" hits and I can do it at speed. The recoil is obviously minimal at this power factor and from the videos I have seen of myself shooting at these matches, the muzzle flip is slight.

I still would like to find a Major Power Factor load that the Lone Wolf barrel will accept, but if I have to continue to shoot Minor Power Factor, I will be fine with that. I plan to try some 147 grain bullets next time I do some range time.

I am still running the stock trigger bar with connector and spring upgrades. The trigger pull is sweet but has a bunch of pre-travel. I hope to bite the bullet so to speak and go with a Vanek or Glockworx upgrade in the future.

Post some pics! I pretty much had the same results with my Carver running factory 115's (I don't reload). I'm waiting on a test batch of 124's from Doug Carden of DCAmmo with his 9 major load to see how it runs.

I'm curious why you don't see more G34's modified for open. Wouldn't the longer barrel make it easier to make major? Why all the G17's.

I'm looking to build an open glock so this information is useful to me.

The 17 is more like a shorty gun,and I guess a 34 would be like a full size.

Have shot all 17 open guns and seems to work and cycle very well with major

has well as minor loads.Just shoot what you like and feels good to you...

I saw some pretty long 2011 type open guns this weekend...can't imagine that a 34 with a compensator on it would be much, if any, longer that those that I saw.

As it was explained to me, the 17 is more versatile while the 34 would be mainly suited toward major power factor loads.
