mmosur
Looking for a good hunting load to work up for deer/hogs this fall. I rarely have to shoot beyond about 50 yards. Any load suggestions? I have some Hornady xtp 158gr bullets already but I don't mind getting something else. I have plenty of lil'gun which I use for 357 mag as well but can certainly get different powder if suggested. Will be shooting from 10 inch Thompson contender. Thanks.
The_Vigilante
Check out this load using Alliant Powder Pro 300-MP: http://www.alliantpowder.com/reloaders/RecipePrint.aspx?gtypeid=1&weight=158&shellid=28&bulletid=38&bdid=
jmorris
A 158 grain soft point with 2400 powder always worked good for me. I would post the charge but what i ended up with was over max.
