The_Vigilante
I have several questions regarding the installation of the trimmer. Where does the motor jam nut go? How do I stop the unit from rotating on the trim die when I turn it on? Probably sound like stupid questions but I am mechanically-challenged when it comes to stuff like this!!!! Thanks in advance
ScottyPotty
I have several questions regarding the installation of the trimmer. Where does the motor jam nut go? How do I stop the unit from rotating on the trim die when I turn it on? Probably sound like stupid questions but I am mechanically-challenged when it comes to stuff like this!!!! Thanks in advance The motor jam nut keeps the motor at the proper height. You move the motor up & down for trim length, once you get the correct trim tighten down the jam nut. The die moves up or down for the case re-sizing. If you get the nuts tight enough the motor will not rotate when turned on. Use two wrenches (one on the motor, the other on the die jam nut) That will get it nice tight. Also a lot of people hold the motor when they first turn it on. Coleman
You may have to put the trim die nut from the bottom to allow more vacum for the chips.
