jester121
I should have asked this when I was at my first match Sunday, but I had lots of other pressing questions and didn't want to be a pain. As I didn't have a USPSA number yet, I shot as "pending", unclassified. The club did submit results to the database, I see my name there. I have now enrolled and paid for my membership, so I'll be shooting classifiers in the upcoming matches to get my 4 (??) scores that I need. Question is, do I need to do anything else to get classified? Or does the computer take care of it once I have enough scores posted (after the monthly recalc of course)? I thought I saw mention somewhere about a fee for classification but can't find the reference any more. Thanks much.

When you pay your match fee, some portion of that goes to USPSA as an activity fee when (or after) the classifiers get uploaded.

r0kawn
Also, once you receive your membership packet with USPSA number, you can reference that number and ask the match director or score keeper to reupload just your scores with the new #. I just did this myself. Joined USPSA 2/28, shot first match 3/4, received membership packet 3/6. Local match director re-uploaded my scores to reflect my USPSA number so that it will track properly. -Alex
jester121
Thanks Alex, I just got my membership packet today, in time for this Sunday's match, so I'm all legal. I'm not sure what happened in that classifier I shot, but I think there was a typo in the final scores, they had me at 93 seconds instead of 39 in the "official" uploaded scores, so I don't think I want that associated with me. I'll get one match this weekend, then there is a 6-stage qualifier day at a club not far from here on April 1, so I'll be good to go in a couple weeks. May even get my Revolver 4 and then a couple toward Production class.
