RevolverJockey
I have a friend who has a Dillon 550 set up for .45 ACP. it has the strong mount, aluminum roller handle, bullet tray, loaded round bracket and mounted toolkit. Very low round count with lots of spare parts. I am looking to help him sell but would like an idea of an asking price for a local sale. Thanks in advance, Lee Edited March 10, 2012 by Mitch_Rapp.
Hi-Power Jack
I'd get current price for all those items, add them up, and take a little off - they hold their value pretty well. Shipping is going to be a problem unless you can find (and you might) a local buyer. Jack
skyflyer
When I sold my old 550 I priced it at 90% of new and let the buyers start negotiating. Mine sold quikly.
Csiedmond1
The warranty helps them hold their value very well!!!
RevolverJockey
I think I have decided to ask $550 locally and see what happens. Lee
Hi-Power Jack
I think I have decided to ask $550 locally . Lee, I'd run it thru the classifieds right here also - always someone looking to upgrade to a 550. Good luck, Jack
Linear Thinker
I've seen used Dillon stuff sell on Fleabay for 98% of new price. Much more work with pictures and shipping, but still a good way to maximize the proceeds.
RevolverJockey
I really feel for this guy. Just got into shooting more seriously, took up reloading and bought some nice equipment right off the bat because I told him in the long run it would be cheaper and within 6 months gets transferred to California. I wish I was in the market I would just buy it all but I have 5 presses on my bench already. Edited March 11, 2012 by Mitch_Rapp.
warpspeed
Any reason he can't just bring it to California with him ?
