dukeguy
I'm still fairly new to reloading and this is a new problem to me. I'm getting an indentation on the top of lead bullets. Obviously the seating die is causing this somehow, but I'm stumped at this point. I just finished off 100 rds. of 147 gn. flat nose without any issue. Then when I switched to 125 gn. elliptical nose I started getting the indentation on the tops of the bullets. I'm loading at an OAL of 1.125. I've attached a photo of one of the bullets and would appreciate any advice.

GrumpyOne
Change the insert in your seating die.... It has two sides, one for round nose, the other for flat.
