ProGunGuy
I am looking for a belt to hang my DOH and mag holders on. Gots me a 34" waist. I would like a 2 pc. So what do you reccomend and what do you use?
JRBean
CR Speed or DAA for best value. Safariland makes a nice belt but more expensive. I used CR Speed for many years and it worked great. I have a DAA on the way now. My CR Speed seems to have shrunk. Order one size larger than your pants size.
lilbeauxdawg
You can't go wrong with either cr speed or double alpha academy belts. Both can be found at Shootersconnection.com lilB
Noximus03
Yeah....what they said. I like the CR inner better than the DAA, though.
ctay
Can you buy the CR inner seperatly or are you buying the whole belt and only using the inner?
pjb45
A huge plus for Safariland ELS system. I stopped using my CR Speed belts and only use Safariland. Yes, it is expensive. Try Optics Planet. I made the investment is converting holsters and magazines over to it. It was not cheap but it was worth investment, especially if you think you might do 3Gun or shoot multiple platforms. As a side note; Safariland sends a lot of product to the prize tables. I know that is not an 'only' reason to buy a product. But they do spend a lot of money on USPSA. twodownzero
I have one of each. I prefer the DAA; it's stiffer.
gng4life
Another vote for the DAA, I like them much better than may CR belt. I haven't tried out the ELS but it looks tempting....
co-exprs
I've had several CR Speeds and now an ELS. When my CRs wear out, I'll be switching everything to ELS. If you have any ambition to try 3gun, you will be one step ahead by already owning an ELS. The belt by itself is comparably priced. If cost is an issue you don't have to run the ELS clips as any regular belt loop style equipment mounts will work. Techlocks and slip on's will work fine untill you decide to get the ELS mounting hardware. By itself the ELS belt is excellent.
Outsydlooknin75
I use a Jones Tactical belt I had specially done for me and everything is on Tek Lok. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk
Mo Hepworth
anyone try a Ghost belt? I am wearing out my 2nd CR speed belt. I would like to try something different. Might go with Safariland or DAA.
ctay
Out of curiosity - what makes the ELS better for 3 gun?
mildot1
3 Gun: you can add, takeoff, or move your gear by simply squeezing the prongs on the ELS mount and sliding the piece off. For example if you just ran a shotgun stage and the next was rifle and pistol you can get the shotgun sheel carriers off the belt and pistol mags up front. pjb45
At a recent 3 gun match, you started with 8 rounds for 12 round array, followed by unloaded pistol for another 12rounds or so, followed by a rifle. All of off the same belt. I can mix and match any combination for any stage. For me since I shoot multiple types of guns I just use one belt instead of having five belts. Bill Moore
I too am thinking of the ELS belt. What width are you using 1.75 or 2.0" ?
Avezorak
I prefer the DAA to the CR Speeed. Ive had both for a few years and like the stiffness of the DAA, plus it seems to be holding up better that the CR Speed even though it has been used more.... sroe3
I like my DAA, but haven't tried any others. I bought the same size belt as my pants.
Noximus03
Can you buy the CR inner seperatly or are you buying the whole belt and only using the inner? I think you can, but keep in mind that I only use the CR inner, and the DAA outer. No real reason other that the CR inner just feels better. Wouldnt trade my DAA outer for it, though. PKT1106
I like my CR Speed, but you have to make sure you get good velcro connection on each side of your mag pouches, especially if you run limited or open with 20 or 29 rounds. Those mags get heavy and can pull the velcro away. I run with 4 or 5 mags for Limited with my 20rd XDM mags and I make sure the belts are good to go.
