ChuckS
I listened to a CD a friend made of Savoy Brown, live at the Kinetic Playground, Chicago, 1970 on the way to the match yesterday and I got thinking about all the old albums we have stored away and I think I would like to get them on MP3. Does anybody have any experience with the software that can be used for this? Recommendations are welcome! Thanks, Chuck PS: Windows 7 machine. If I manage to get in touch with him soon, I'll update this thread.

Audacity and an ION Turntable will do what you need (it's what I use...)

ChuckS
Well, it took me longer to fight through the spider webs to extract the turntable and receiver from our stereo cabinet and get stuff hooked to the computer than it did to download Audacity, install it and do a test recording of a couple track from The Allman Bros Band at the Fillmore East. (I still miss Duane ) This stuff rocks. I will now look into the signal processing to clean things up. Most of our LPs lead a very tough life. Thanks, N2!
