Definitely the way to go. Spending an afternoon sending 500+ rds (plastic BB's)downrange for less than the cost of a Big Mac and saving $10 for gasoline by shooting in the backyard instead of the range, it makes you want to do it all over again tomorrow. I don't think I've shot a single match in many months, but I still get to "practice" with my airsoft. Bill
kevin c
Works great. STINKS. Not good for indoor shooting. Some silicone oils come with their own odorants to counteract the stuff in the propane. Won't smell like lilacs (not that you'd be interested anyway) but also won't smell like rotting cabbage and eggs.
Flatland Shooter
Some silicone oils come with their own odorants to counteract the stuff in the propane. Sounds like something I could use. All the oil I've bought was just plain oil. Any idea where I can purchase? Its not for me, its for my wife. Thanks. Bill
kevin c
Sorry, I kinda got away from this thread. Lemme check (and sniff) what I have at home, and get back to you, Bill. Kevin
kevin c
The stuff I have is from Tactical Airsoft Gear, though I'm pretty sure I got it through another vendor, either MannyUSA or Evike. There are lots of different brands.
STI91
I got my stuff through Evike. Relatively quick and painless. And the smell isn't that bad. nothing you can't get used to.

ktm300
I order 12 cans of green gas for $106 shipped and can shoot > 25k rounds. Tried the propane but I shoot the airsoft indoors in the basement and just can't take the smell, and don't want to mess with the oil. If I have daylight and weather to shoot outdoors I shoot the .22 and the .40.
Stuck in C
ktm300, where do you get the green gas from?
ktm300
Airsplat.com they always have a discout code for free shipping over $89. So far its the best deal I have found on gas.
andersonj55126
+1 on the Airsoft Innovations Propane Adapter. Works great for me. Try some duster gas for indoor shooting. You will get lower velocity but that might be fine indoors. Not sure if it works with your gun but is easy to find in a lot of stores.
ktm300
The duster gas won't run my KJW and on the TM it isn't loud enough to trip the timer.
