I agree with what has been said. they are all great platforms! I have owned both an m&p and a few xdm's! I am sold on the xdm platform, but that is because it is more comfortable to me! I have a friend that loves his glock... I can't stand the grip angle of glocks. Best advice SHOOT before you buy! I will tell you the 5.25 is an amazing platform! Good luck!

Thanks for the help I did shoot an M&P before I bought mine and mine has turned out to be a lemon. Been sent back to smith and wesson and it is so inaccurate it cant even be used but smith says there is no problem. I will look for someone who has these guns and see which one wins. Hey anybody want to buy an M&P pro 9 I have a beauty for sale

I will ask around. I have a couple friends looking to try out the m&p. How much would you want for it! Good luck on your search! If you lived close I would offer to let you shoot my xds, but the drive from IL to PA may be a bit much!

I have more questions than answers

what do you hate about the M&P? Accuracy? What is the accuracy problem? group size? point of impact? have other shooters had the same problem with your gun? if you like the ergo's and trigger on the smith you may be able to make it work with some minor tweaks.

As far as what gun to get I assume you are looking to shoot Production and there is nothing wrong with any of the pistols you have listed so you need to shoot them and see how they work for you.

If at all possible shoot them both first. I did the same thing and found that the Glock slide ran way too close to my hand for my comfort, it sucked having to worry about slide bite. Tried the xdm and loved it. Went with the xdm 5.25 and glad I did. Choose what works best for you personally.
