G17fan
I have a standard 8 rounder without the basepad.... Can I install a base pad to it by removing the bottom plate? It looks like it is tack welded.... I looked on his websire under FAQ and nothing about this.... Thanks.
kmca
You don't need to do that. There are kits available with a drill jig and base pads. Simply drill the base and put in the enclosed self-threading screws.
Don Springer
Got a link? I have some Colt mags I've been thinking of doing that to.
G17fan
Ok, here is a question.... I have the CM power mags with the base pad on them.... I have spare pads and want them to match.... Im crazy like that. Can I take the metal base plate off and slide the base pad on?

kmca
Sorry, not unless you want to weld the lips on a bare mag tube.

norbs007
I have the Wilson Combat glue-on basepads on my CMC Shooting Star 1911 mags since mid 90s, a couple came off because I twisted them off but just clean the surface and re-glue.
