JKSNIPER
I hate when people call my home phone and leave a totally unintelligible message on my answering machine. They either speak so fast it sounds like they're speaking a foreign language or they're speaking into the phone like their trying to swallow it or they're calling from their car phone with the windows open and all I can hear is traffic noise and their radio. Then I review my caller I.D. and the # comes up private number so I can't even call them back to ask what they wanted. I also hate the lady from home depot who insists on calling us to let us know our measurements for the flooring are in and have we made any decisions yet ? This happens every couple days or so despite being told on more than one occasion that we're looking at options for the floor we're looking to replace and we'll get back to them when we have a decision made. She's freaking annoying and she's nuts too. A few french fries shy of a happy meal. They have the measurements on file so when we make a decision they'll be the first to know. BritinUSA
I detest messages like that, fortunately my home phone has a nice blocking feature, if I get an annoying call I can just press a few buttons and every time they call they get a busy signal... Its been useful for the debt collection agency that has been calling me several times a week trying to track down the previous owner of my home for his unpaid debts.. gunguru
worst, when the message came from an automated messages... "to get your carpet clean..." Or at job when they leave message like : "Hey, it's me, call me back" #1, You are "me"? #2, Can you wait until earing my name before leaving a message. Finaly, when someone leave a message, but told his phone number so fast than it's impossible to ear it.
technetium-99m
Amen, At work we had a customer who wore dentures, he would frequently call and leave messages on our answering machine about order changes for the next day. The combination of him not having his teeth in and being tired from waking up at 1:00 in the morning would result in messages that sounded like the hill billy character from Blazing Saddles. TMC
I hate when people leave a message and talk slow enough for you to understand everything until they get to thier phone number where they rip through it in one quick blast no one can understand no matter how many time you play it back, and its always a person who left a 5 minute message. Chris Keen
Or how many times have you had someone leave their phone #, but not the area code ..... then you're left to guess at 3 or 4 different area codes until you get it right! Totally off topic ..... I've got a pretty cool work cell-phone # that ends in xxx-xxx-2222 ..... well you would think it would be cool, but you have no idea how many wrong numbers I get .... people wanting to know if the Maytag Washer & Dryer is still on sale .... ..... Or how many people dialed xxx-2222 by mistake, when they meant to dial xxx-2223 or 2224 or 2225, etc. (all my company's phones are in sequential order, and I just got lucky! ...) So as far as I see it, the problem isn't us ..... that's fer sure! lol Edited February 29, 2012 by Chris Keen
